NORTHCAPE is a boutique retail property agency that specialises in tenant representation involving all matters leasing.

Our founder, Michael Cuda is a property veteran with approximately 30 years experience in the retail property industry, having held senior roles in both agency and with large retail landlords such as Westfield and Stockland.

These roles included NSW State Director for Byvan, (the pre-eminent boutique shopping centre management agency of the 1980s and 1990s) and more recently Director/Regional Asset Manager for Stockland where he was responsible for the overview of nearly half of Stockland’s retail portfolio valued at approximately at $2Billion. Michael’s experience encompasses a broad array of areas including retail property management, human resources, leasing, development, design and tenancy co-ordination, as well as experience in the office and industrial sector.

Michael is a Licensed Real Estate Agent (NSW), a Certified Shopping Centre Manager of Australia (CSMA), holds a Diploma in Business (Real Estate), an Advanced Certificate in Retail Management and has commenced an MBA at Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM-Macquarie University).

How we operate?

Given our roots lie in the shopping centre industry, we have an intimate understanding of how things work from the perspective of a landlord. We understand the key drivers that landlords are looking for in terms of creating an optimal tenancy mix, maximising net profit and enhancing asset value. Our retail clients see this experience as being hugely beneficial, as we are able to work with landlords from a position of knowledge to best represent your interests.

Our extensive industry network means we have positive relationships with all the major retail landlords in Australia. Our approach very much focuses on working collaboratively with landlords (whilst still representing the interests of the retailer) as we believe this to be the most successful manner to achieve sustainable outcomes.
